Alpha Female??????????

Claire has been bugging me to write something into the family blog and now that a close-up of my face has already been plastered into the blog I figure it is time that I post something. As I read over most of the banter I began to wonder, what exactly is an alpha female? Does such a thing really exist? Kinda sounds like an oxymoron to me.
